The beautiful lady from Jimma in Harar

A memorable ceremony in the gated city of Harar at a family friends house I'd been invited to: There is no romance in prepping for a coffee ceremony, the reality is some physical hard work, which they make look effortless. Their own sun dried coffee had just been open air roasted on the pan, and was then elegantly pounded into a fine grind (it's possible) . The Jebena (clay coffee pot), which already had freshly heated cold water in, sits next to her. This is only one part of the process

  1. There is enough technical information here for a book on worldwide vernacular coffee-producing methods!
